CRBS convened its 10th Board of Trustees Meeting on December 28th, 2023 to share updates on activities from October to December 2023. The agenda covered key topics like the developments of last quarter of the year, annual report, financial position of CRBS, recruitment of new Executive Director and Assistant Researcher, and rules for operation of consulting services by CRBS. Chairperson Dasho Sonam Rabgye inaugurated the meeting with opening remarks, extending a warm welcome to esteemed newcomers on the Board—Dr. Damber Singh Kharka and Dr. Tshering Dolkar. Additionally, a heartfelt welcome was extended to the newly appointed Executive Director, Mr. Mani Kumar Gurung, Assistant Researcher Mrs. Passang Lhamo Tamang, and other participants. With an optimistic outlook, CRBS expressed confidence that the infusion of new talent would propel the organization forward.
The two former researchers, Ms. Kinley Wangmo and Mr. Arjun Nepal, who resigned from their positions, expressed their gratitude to CRBS and Board of Trustees for their continued guidance. Acknowledging the commendable activities and progress achieved by CRBS over the preceding three months, the Board of Trustees formally endorsed both the annual report and the operational rules governing CRBS's consulting services. The collective efforts of the Board and the new additions to CRBS's team set a positive trajectory for the organization's future endeavors.
